So blog one for this room...
What Kelly was saying about steering clear of looking like club dancers, how about we stay with the bus stop idea and form a queue by the bus stop sign in the night club? Then we could choose lighting so it shows us differently but would still fit in the room.
On a set note, this is what we listed as what we want:
... 2 Projectors
... fog machine?
...Birdies
...lighting rig (already in the BlackBox)
... Lots of material/gauze for the cubicles.
Signifiers =
...smells of beer soaked tissues around the room
... lavander/elderly smells such as soap
...werther's originals
...sign post of elderly people, boys and girls toilets
...tea cups and saucer's
can we think of anymore?

Really like that queue idea....the connotations of queueing can also be so powerful in provoking questions as to what/why/where are they queueing???
ReplyDeleteI'd like to also suggest we make a mood board for each room, visually it could be really helpful especially because we're wanting to make strong images. So is it possible we bring some pictures and cut outs, materials and words to all bring together to make the idea more clear?
Yes to the connotations of queueing... they could be queueing to get their tablets, or for their weekly bus trip to town, or get their lunch at an oap home? many things to explore.
